Requests were sent continuously at the rate of 1 request every 200ms for nearly 17 hours while the memory usage & memory allocated graphs were traced. The Carbon front-end running JSPs & Web service stubs, and the Carbon back-end running Admin Web services were hosted on the same JVM instance. The graph in the figure shows a nice saw-tooth garbage collection pattern. On average, just 90MB of memory has been consumed.
